A Fanatic Summation of the Hillside vs Plainfield Game


Where did the Cardinals win this game?

        Points in the Paint – Plainfield converted 23 field goals to Hillside’s 15 field goals below the arc to give the Cardinals a 16-point advantage.  Jahmal Lane converted 4 field goals below the arc.

        Free Throws – Plainfield held a huge advantage by converting 17 free throws to Hillsides 1 to give the Cardinals a 16-point advantage from the charity line.  Plainfield’s Denzel Johnson shot 83% to connect on 5 free throws.    

        Rebounding – The Cardinals grabbed a whopping 41 rebounds to Hillside’s 22.  Denzel Johnson and Chad Jno-Lewis combined for 6 rebounds for Plainfield.

        Rejections – The Block Party Crew were able to turn away 13 shots.

Cardinal Fanatic Efficient 5

1) Plainfield – Senior Justin Sears 6’8” {ER-35}
Dr. Double Double has elevated his title to Mr. Triple Double.  Justin gave the first recorded triple double in the Efficiency Rating statistical bookkeeping era.  Justin shot 80% from the field and was perfect from the foul line to score 10 points.  Sears grabbed a game high 13 rebounds and rejected a career and game high 10 shots.  Sears completed a very Efficient night by picking up 1 steal and dropping off 2 assists.  Justin committed 1 turnover for the entire game.  Note:  Justin’s 10 rejections is the highest amount of block shots in a single game recorded by the Cardinal Fanatic.

2) Plainfield – Senior Sekou Harris 6’0” {ER-23}
Sekou shot 67% from below the arc and 75% from the free throw line to score a game high 18 points.  Sekou also grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and picked up 4 steals.

3) Plainfield – Senior Dii’Jon Allen-Jordan 6’6” {ER-21}
Dii’Jon shot 50% from the field to score 14 points.  Dr. Dunkadelic earned a double double by grabbing 10 rebounds.  Dii’Jon was also invited to the Block Party with his 2 rejections.  Dii’Jon also picked up a steal and dropped 2 assists.  Allen-Jordan only committed 1 turnover for the entire game.

4) Hillside – Senior Rudy Delva 6’0” {ER-21}
Rudy had a near perfect shooting night from the floor.  Rudy only missed one-shot attempt to shoot 75% from below the arc, 100% from beyond the arc and 100% from the free throw line to score 13 points.  Rudy also grabbed 3 rebounds, picked up 2 steals and dropped off 2 assists.

5) Hillside – Senior Jordan Young 6’4” {ER-14}
Young shot 57% from the floor to score 8 points.  Young also grabbed a team high 7 rebounds and picked up 1 steal.  Jordan only committed 1 turnover for the entire game.

 

The efficiency rating is base on points scored, shooting accuracy, foul shooting accuracy, rebounds, assists, steals, defensive intensity, and assist – turnover ratio.
