We were hit with Hurricane Sandy which affected the Cardinal Fanatic birds nest. The Cardinal Fanatic is finally recovering and went back to his archives to get the last two basketball season Top Efficiency Performances together.
To the Cardinal Fanatic surprise, 2011-2012 saw a record Efficiency Performance. 2012-2013 saw some incredible underclassmen.
We will start with Honorable Mention of the 2011-2012 season and work our way up to present time...

Linden vs Plainfield Sectional Quarter Finals

The Cardinal Fanatic Efficiency Players of the game
1) Plainfield – Junior Jachai Simmons 6’7” – {ER-23}
Jachai shot 71% from below the arc and 67% from beyond the
arc to score a team high 17 points. Jachai
completed a double-double performance by grabbing a game high 10 rebounds and
dropping a game high tying 2 assists (Plainfield’s Ahmad Baker and Mike
Kirkland also with 2 assists.
2) Linden – Junior Otis Livingston 5’11” – {ER-20}
Little “O” as we use to call him back in his recreation days
in Plainfield, was on point to hold Plainfield off from the upset bid. Otis shot 50% from below the arc, 67% from
beyond the arc and 83% from the free throw line to score a game high 22
points. Otis grabbed 1 rebound, picked
up a game high tying 2 steals (Plainfield’s Mike Kirkland also with 2 steals)
and dropped 1 assist.
3) Linden – Senior Juwan Jones 6’1” – {ER-18}
J. Jones shot 80% from below the arc, 40% from beyond the
arc and 75% from the free throw line to score 17 points. His backbreaking corner trey with less than
4 minutes crushed a Plainfield momentum that cut the Linden lead to 4. The veteran Jones nailed the trey to push the
lead to 7. Jones also grabbed a team
high tying 4 rebounds (Joshua Carter also with 4 rebounds) and picked up 1
steal. Jones completed an Efficient
night by committing only 1 turnover for the entire game.
4) Plainfield – Junior Ahmad Baker 6’8” – {ER-11}
Baker shot 100% from the free throw line, grabbed 2 rebounds
and dropped a game high tying 2 assists.
Baker’s defense limited All-State Quadri Moore to his lowest point
output in a Plainfield game in 4 years of varsity play. Baker completed an Efficient night by
committing only 1 turnover for the entire game.
5) Linden – Junior Joshua Carter 6’3” – {ER-10}
J. Carter shot 50% from below the arc, 50% from beyond the
arc and was 100% from the free throw line.
Carter grabbed a team high tying 4 rebounds and picked up 1 steal. Joshua completed an Efficient night by
committing only 1 turnover for the entire game.

Hoover scored a game high tying 19 points (Millburn’s Max Jacobs

2) Millburn – Junior Max Jacobs 6’2” – {ER-15}
Sir Maximus dropped a game high tying 19 points on 46%
shooting from below the arc, perfect from beyond the arc and 100% shooting from
the free-throw line. Jacobs also grabbed 3 rebounds, picked up a game high
tying 2 steals (Plainfield’s Steve Jones and Christan Cook also with 2 steals)
and dropped 1 assist to lead Millburn.
3) Millburn – Senior Jordan Khan 6’5” – {ER-15}
Jordan shot 100% from the field, grabbed a game high 8
rebounds, and rejected a team high 3 shot attempts.
4) Plainfield – Senior Steve Jones 6’0” – {ER-13}
J Jr. shot 60% from the field, grabbed 4 rebounds, picked up
a game high tying 2 steals and dropped 1 assist. Jones completed an Efficient night by committing only 1 turnover
for the entire game.
5) Millburn – Senior Ben Kizel 5’11” – {ER-12}
Ben shot an Efficient 80% from the free throw line, grabbed
7 rebounds, picked up 1 steal and dropped a team high tying 2 assists (Jake
Bank also with 2 assists).

The son of former Plainfield State Champion Coach Lenny
Parham came back to haunt Plainfield.

complete a double-double effort. Jalen
also picked up a team high tying 1 steal (Matt Westhal and Rob Askes also with
