On a scale of 10, the Cardinals played a 10. The defensive minded Cardinals put together the best 4 periods of defense in one night this season. The Raiders hot shooting guards of Charles Oliver, Tim Bonacum, and Patrick Dougher were defended well. Charles scored a team high 10 points while Tim and Patrick were held scoreless on only 4 shot attempts. Nate “Zone Buster” Grant-Dewitt outside touch opened the floor up for the Cardinal big men in the lane to spark the Cardinals to victory.

After Plainfield opened the game up with a 13 – 0 run Scotch Plains – Fanwood responded to close out the 1st with a 7 – 0 run sparked by a Doran Nelson 3 pointer.
