4th Team All Efficiency Performance

Top Efficiency Performance of the 2009 – 2010 Season in a Plainfield Game -
4th Team All Efficiency Performance

#16 - Union – Senior Jonathan Merceous – 6’5” {ER – 21}
Merceous continues to score his 20 + points a game. Jonathan was the game high scorer with 22 points, of which 15 came in the 1st half. Jonathan also shot 5 – 7 from the free throw line and grabbed 8 rebound while only committing 1 turnover.

#17 - Don Bosco – Junior Vaughn Gray – 6’5” {ER – 21}
Vaughn was high scorer for the Iron Men. Vaughn scored 21 points, shot 78% from the foul line, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Vaughn has the ability to play any position at the high school level. His ball handling, speed, strength, and size make him a strong guard at the next level.

#18 - Plainfield – Senior Mike Price – 6’2” {ER – 21}
Price gave a season high efficiency performance. Price continues his outstanding defensive efforts. Price has my vote for one of the top 5 defenders in the state. Price had a game high tying 4 steals (Justin Sears also with 4 steals) and a game high tying 2 rejections (Justin Sears also with 2 rejections. His rejection of a shot that was pinned near the top of the box on the back board in the 4th period culminated an outstanding 32 minutes of defense. Mike also dropped off a game high 7 assists and shot 100% below the arc to cap off an outstanding night.

#19 - East Orange – Junior Mario Moody Jr. – 6’8” {ER – 21}
No clear scouting report was out on this junior phenom. Mario is one of the most athletic big men in the state with major Division 1 ability. As Plainfield, East Orange has many players playing at other schools. How Moody went undiscovered, only the Jaguars can answer that. Moody was the reason this game was so tough for the Cardinals. Mario dropped a team high 11 points, grabbed a game high tying 11 rebounds, and had a game high 4 rejections. Moody will be a player to watch for next season.

#20 - Seton Hall Prep – Senior John Caprio – 6’5” {ER – 20}
Without Caprio the Pirates would have lost by double digits. He did all the dirty work for the Pirates and contributed significantly on the offensive end. Caprio pick the pockets of the Cardinals with his bruising defense garnishing 8 steals. Caprio shot and efficient 64% from the floor to tally 19 points.

Next up 3rd Team All Efficiency
