The youthful Cardinals will open up the season tomorrow in Linden. Of course Linden has a couple of transfers and a 6'8" freshman. This game should be a good one. Not many are giving the Cardinals a chance but 6'8" junior - Justin Sears, 6'5" junior - Diijon Allen-Jordan, and 6'3" - junior Jahmal Lane (3 years varsity experience) all came back from last years Sectional Championship team. The guards will all have eye's on them to see if they can erase any memory of the guards that have exited the building for brighter lights. 6'0" senior - Allen Brown will provide the leadership and 6'0" junior - Sekou Harris will provide the direction. Both guards will be key for the Cardinals success. With 1 senior starting and 1 other senior playing a reserve role, 6'1" sharp shooter Phil Spencer, the Cardinals will have to play a Lubreski style defense and hope the reserves can provide enough lift for the Cardinals to fly.
Game time tomorrow - 7:00 pm @ Linden
Teams to look out for in Group 3
Newark East Side

If the youthful Cardinals can get solid bench production, look out. If not, this will be a nail biting season.
