Free Throw Shooting – Even

Plainfield grabbed 34 rebounds while Rumson grabbed 25.  Rumson’s Travis Clark and Tommy Johnston grabbed a game high tying 4 rebounds.  Ahmad Baker and Denzel Johnson were 2 of 4 Cardinals to also grab 4 rebounds.

I thought with the departure of Justin “The Paint Department” Sears, the interior paint business would be forced to close.  The Cardinals showed signs that this is not the case.

Block Shots – Plainfield +7
Plainfield rejected 8 shot attempts compared to Rumson’s 1 rejection.

Points in the Paint – Plainfield +20
Although the Cardinals shot a hot summer day in the city 50% from beyond the arc, they made the difference in the game shooting below the arc.  Plainfield made 17 field goals below the arc while Rumson-Fair Haven made 7.  Denzel Johnson made a game high 4 field goals from below the arc.

The Cardinal Fanatic Efficiency Players of the game

1)      Plainfield – Junior Christian Cook 6’2” – {ER-16}
There was some cooking going on but it was not in the kitchen!  Cook was cooking from every point on the hardwood floor.  Cook shot 100% from below the arc and 57% from beyond the arc to score a game high 15 points.  Cook is not only a chef but also a master lock picker as he picked up a game high 4 steals.  Christian also grabbed 2 boards and only committed 1 turnover for the entire game to complete an efficient night.

2)      Plainfield – Junior Najee Lucky 5’11” – {ER-15}
It was no luck with Lucky’s shooting performance.  Najee shot 75% from below the arc and was perfect from deep.  Lucky also grabbed a game high tying 4 rebounds and dished out a game high 3 assists to give his best performance of the young season.

3)      Plainfield – Sophomore Jachai Simmons 6’6” – {ER-14}
Jachai shot 60% from below the arc, grabbed a team high tying 4 rebounds, picked up 2 steals, dropped off an assist and rejected a game high 3 shot attempts.  Simmons was also very efficient with the ball as he only committed 1 turnover for the game.

4)      Rumson-Fair Haven – Junior Jack Herman 6’6” – {ER-11}
Jack shot 67% from below the arc and was perfect from 3-point land to be Rumson’s team high scorer.  Jack also grabbed 2 rebounds, picked up 1 steal and rejected 1 shot attempt.

5)      Plainfield – Senior Denzel Christian 6’6” – {ER-10}
D.C. shot 50% from the field, grabbed 3 rebounds, and rejected 2 shot attempts.

The efficiency rating is base on points scored, shooting accuracy, foul shooting accuracy, rebounds, assists, steals, defensive intensity, and assist – turnover ratio.
