Top Efficiency Performance of the 2012 – 2013 Season in a
Plainfield Game – 4th Team All Efficiency
16)
Plainfield – Senior
Denzel Johnson 6’1” {ER-21} vs. Immaculata
Denzel seems to be emerging as the
unofficial leader on the floor. The
senior guard scored a game and career high 19 points on 64% shooting below the
arc and 100% shooting from the free throw line. What was more impressive, Denzel was able to go 4 for 4 down the
final 2 ½ minutes of the game from the foul line in a pressure situation. Denzel filled up the stat sheet by grabbing
3 rebounds, picking up a game high tying 3 steals (Immaculata’s Asiah Avent
also with 3 steals) and dropped off 2 assists.
17)
Immaculata – Junior Jeremiah Mohommad 6’5” {ER-21} vs.
Plainfield
Mohommad shot 57% from the field,
grabbed a team high 7 rebounds, picked up 2 steals and dished out an
assist. Jeremiah did not commit any
turnovers to have a very efficient night.
18)
Linden – Junior Juwan Jones 6’1” {ER-21} vs. Plainfield
Union County is filled with young
guards this year and now JJ has put his name in the mix because he was …
DYNAMITE!!! Amazingly Jones teamed up
with Sophomore Joshua Carter for a combined 2 turnovers for the game. With that type of play from your guards, a
team will always be in the game. Jones
scored in double figures shooting 100% from below the arc. Jones also grabbed 3 rebounds, picked up a
steal and dished out a game high 5 assists.
Jones had a very impressive 5:1 assist to turnover ratio. Jones may want his name thrown into the
discussion of the next talented guard out of Linden also.
19)
Elizabeth – Senior Damon Miraud 6’4” {ER-20} vs. Plainfield
With Isaiah Davis in foul trouble
all game, Damon stepped up to help Elizabeth win in hostile territory. Damon shot 50% from below the arc and was
perfect from beyond the arc. Miraud
grabbed a team high tying 5 rebounds (Jahad Thomas also with 5 rebounds),
picked up a steal, dished out a game hight tying 3 assists (Elizabeth’s Phillip
Walker also with 3 assists) and rejected a game high tying 3 shot
attempts. Miraud committed no turnovers
for the entire game. Miraud completed
the game with an excellent 3:0 assist to turnover ratio.
20)
Plainfield – Junior Christan Cook 6’1” {ER-18} vs. Patrick
School
On any other night Christan would
have been Efficiency Player of the Game.
Christan was lights out from the field. Cook was COOKING! The red
hot Cook shot 83% from below the arc and shot 60% from beyond the arc to drop a
game high tying 19 points. Cook took
care of the ball also by only committing 1 turnover for the entire game.
