Linden will be a force again!!!

Who said Linden would be down this year?

Coach Phil Colicchio is arguably the best basketball coach in the state. If there is another coach who gets the most of the hand that is dealt, I have yet to meet him.

Linden opens the season with a shellacking of a talented Newark Tech 60 – 26. Linden’s defense which has always been impressive stifled the Newark Tech from scoring in double digits in any single period.

When comparing Linden and Plainfield with common opponents, Linden scored 60 points against Newark Tech. Plainfield scored 69 against Newark Tech in a 5 period scrimmage. Linden gave up 26 points while Plainfield gave up 42.

Although the Plainfield – Newark Tech game was a scrimmage and Plainfield played their entire roster, it shows that Linden will be force to reckon with again.
