Elizabeth vs Plainfield Game


A Fanatic Summation of the Elizabeth vs. Plainfield Game

 
Plainfield never got it going as Elizabeth pulled away with the easy victory.

Block Shots – Advantage (Plainfield)
Plainfield rejected 6 shot attempts while Elizabeth rejected 3.  Plainfield’s Jordan Sears rejected a game high tying 2 shot attempts.

Assists – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth dropped off 8 assists while Plainfield dropped 6 assists.  Plainfield’s JaQue Wilson and Najee Lucky led Plainfield with a combined 4 assists.

Rebounds – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth grabbed 28 rebounds while Plainfield grabbed 26. 

Free Throw Shooting – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth converted 7 free throw attempts compared to Plainfield’s 6. 


Although up to this point Plainfield had only 1 category with an advantage, the Cardinals were closely even with Elizabeth in the others.  The following categories are where the Cardinals let the game get away from them.

Turnovers – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth committed 12 turnovers compared to Plainfield’s 22.  This gave Linden a 10-possession advantage or a potential 20 points difference in the game.

Steals – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth picked up 16 steals while Plainfield picked up 6.  JaQue Wilson and Wade Brown combined to pick up 4 steals for Plainfield.

3-Point Shooting – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth converted 7 3-point attempts while Plainfield converted 4.  This gave Elizabeth a 9-point advantage.  Plainfield’s Najee Lucky and Elizabeth’s Temple bound star quarterback Phillip Walker both converted 2 3-point shot attempts.

Points in the Paint – Advantage (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth converted 13 field goals below the arc compared to 10 by Plainfield.  This gave Elizabeth a 6-point advantage in this category.
 

The Cardinal Fanatic Efficiency Players of the game


1)      Elizabeth - Senior Isaiah Davis 6’5” – {ER-23}
Davis shot 83% from below the arc and 50% from beyond the arc to score 14 points.  Isaiah grabbed a game high 7 rebounds, picked up a game high 4 steals and rejected a game high tying 2 shot attempts.

2)      Elizabeth – Senior Hakeem Rogers 6’2” – {ER-18}
Hakeem the Dream shot 50% from below the arc and improved his shooting accuracy when he stepped beyond the arc by knocking down 67% of his attempts.  Rogers was also perfect from the foul line to score a game high 16 points.  Rogers also grabbed 3 rebounds, picked up 3 steals and dropped off 2 assists.  Hakeem completed an efficient night by only committing 1 turnover for the entire game.

3)      Elizabeth – Senior Damon Miraud 6’4” – {ER-15}
Miraud shot 67% from below the arc, grabbed 6 rebounds, picked up 3 steals, dropped off an assist, and rejected 1 shot attempt.  Miraud completed a very efficient night by not committing a single turnover for the entire game.

4)      Elizabeth – Junior Jalen Jenkins 6’0” – {ER-10}
JJ shot 50% from below the arc, grabbed 4 rebounds, dropped off a game high 3 assists and picked up 2 steals. Jenkins had an exceptional efficient night by giving an impressive 3:0 assist to turnover ratio.

5)      Plainfield – Senior Denzel Christian 6’6” – {ER-9}
DC helped Plainfield to not get swept in the all efficiency players of the game.  Denzel grabbed a team high 6 rebounds rejected 1 shot attempt.

  

The efficiency rating is base on points scored, shooting accuracy, foul shooting accuracy, rebounds, assists, steals, defensive intensity, and assist – turnover ratio.
