A Fanatic Summation of the Plainfield vs Piscataway Game

Plainfield converted 23 shots below the arc to Piscataway's 19. Both teams connected on 3 three-point shots.

Where did the Cardinals win this game? The interior paint. The Cardinals attacked the basket which gave Plainfield 20 free throws made compared to Piscataway's 7 made free throws. The Cardinals again won the battle of the boards 28-21 and total rejections (6-1). The Cardinals were better than their season average in the turnover department. Vaughn Anderson, played effective minutes for the second game in a row and seems to be the other ball handler for pressure situations. Chad Lewis reinforced the middle late in the game. Phillip "The Microwave" Tharpe came off the bench in the 4th period to score 8 points in less than 8 minutes.

1) Plainfield - Junior Jahmal Lane 6'3" {ER-23}
The 3rd year varsity player has been one of the most consistent players this year. Jahmal scored 13 points on 100% shooting from the floor below the arc and 75% shooting from the foul line. Jahmal also grabbed 4 rebounds, a game high 3 steals, 1 assist and 1 rejection. Lane committed 0 turnovers for the game.

2) Plainfield - Junior Justin Sears 6'8" {ER-22}
Justin "Double-Double" Sears continues his steady performance. In the first 9 games of the season Justin has earned a double-double in 6 of them. One game he missed a double-double by 1 and another by 3 rebounds. Justin scored 14 points on 71% shooting from the floor. Justin also grabbed a game high 10 rebounds and rejected 2 shot attempts. Sears only committed 2 turnovers for the game.

3) Piscataway - Junior Greg Davis 6'3" {ER-19}
Davis scored a game high 19 points. Davis came off the bench and immediately was an impact knocking down 2 consecutive 3's and a deep 2-point jump shot. Davis shot 71% below the arc on mostly jump shots and connected for a 50% clip from beyond the 3-point line. Greg also grabbed a team high tying 4 rebounds.

4) Plainfield - Junior Sekou Harris 6'0" {ER-18}
If Sekou is not electrifying the crowd with his ball handling, he is pulling out a page from the Anthony "AB" Baskerville any where on the court is a good shot imitation. Sekou connected on several three's from plus 23 feet with 50% accuracy. Sekou scored a team high 18 points and also shot an efficient 57% below the 3-point line. Harris also dropped 4 assists while only committing 2 turnovers. Sekou also had 2 steals and grabbed 2 rebounds.

5) Piscataway - Tajae Sharpe 6'2" {ER-12}
Tajae was the second leading scorer for the Chiefs. Tajae scored 12 points and grabbed a team high tying 4 rebounds.
