Patrick School vs Plainfield

A Fanatic Summation of the Patrick School vs. Plainfield

Plainfield – 41
Patrick School - 57

Patrick School early hot perimeter shooting then clutch foul shooting down the stretch did it in for my Cardinals

Where did Plainfield lose this game:

Perimeter shooting – Plainfield shot a dismal 13% from beyond the arc.  The Patrick School was able to connect on 7 shots behind the arc compared to Plainfield’s 1.  This would be an 18-point difference and more than enough to make up the 16-point difference in the final score.

Charity Line – Plainfield shot below their season average from the foul line and only converted 63% of their foul shot.  Patrick School came up big down the stretch connecting on 11 of 12 free throws in the final period alone.  The Patrick School would convert 6 more free throws than Plainfield

The Cardinal Fanatic Efficiency Players of the game

1)      Patrick School - Senior Angel Delgado 6’9” – {ER-18}
The West Virginia Huntington Prep transfer and Bronx, NY native was the pivotal piece for The Patrick School in winning this game.  Delgado shot 63% from the field to score 11-points.  Delgado grabbed a team high 9 rebounds, picked up a game high tying 2 steals (The Patrick School Jalen Hungauz also with 2 steals), dropped off an assist and rejected 1 shot attempt.

2)      Patrick School – Freshman Marcus McLeary 6’4” – {ER-17}
If Marcus can continue his play like what he displayed, his basketball future is bright.  Marcus scored a team high 12 points by shooting 100% from below the arc, 100% from beyond the arc and 80% from the free throw line.  McLeary also grabbed 1 rebound, dropped off an assist and picked up a steal.  McLeary showed skills beyond a freshman by not committing a single turnover for the entire game.

3)      Plainfield – Junior Jachai Simmons 6’7” – {ER-17}
Jachai mid-air contested switching of the hands slam-dunk was phenomenal. Jachai shot 50% from below the arc and was perfect from the foul line.  Jachai grabbed a game high 14 rebounds, picked up a steal and dropped off 2 assists.

4)      Patrick School – Sophomore Bryce Aikens 5’11” – {ER-13}
