A Fanatic Summation of the Roselle Catholic vs. Plainfield

Roselle Catholic featured 4 players over 6’8” but Plainfield
was able to out rebound the taller team by 8 rebounds but Plainfield did not take advantage of the
rebounding numbers. Roselle Catholic
did use their size to attack the paint, which made the difference in the game.
Surprisingly Plainfield was basically even or had the
advantage in every statistical category with the exception of one.
Where did Plainfield lose this game:
Charity Line – Roselle Catholic was able to double
the amount of attempted free throws that the Cardinals had. Roselle Catholic shot a solid 78% from the
foul line and scored 25-points. Plainfield
scored 12-points and the difference of scoring from the foul line proved to be
the difference in the game.

Plainfield - Senior Clarence Hoover 6’1” – {ER-30}
Hoover gave his career best
Efficiency performance by shooting 67% from below the arc to score a game high
20-points. Hoover had to empty his vacuum bag because it was stuffed with every
statistical category. Hoover grabbed a
team high 7 rebounds, picked up a game high tying 4 steals (Roselle Catholic’s
Matt Bullock also with 4 steals), and amazingly from his guard position
rejected a game high 5 shot attempts that would make the original Block Party
Member Jahmal Lane proud. Hoover
completed a very Efficient night against one of the best teams in the state by
only committing 1 turnover.

Roselle Catholic – Junior Pierre Sarr 6’8” – {ER-17}
The 6’8” guard shot 86% from the
free throw line to score a team high 14 points. Pierre also grabbed a game high 11 rebounds to garner a
double-double effort. Pierre also picked
up a steal and dropped a game high tying 2 assists (Plainfield’s Mike Kirkland
and Christan Cook and Roselle Catholic’s Fatir Hines also with 2 assists).

Roselle Catholic – Sophomore Matt Bullock 6’5” – {ER-16}
Bullock shot an Efficient 100% from the field, grabbed 5 rebounds, picked up a game high tying 4 steals, dropped an assist and rejected 1 shot attempt.

Ganlandou shot 50% from the field,
grabbed 7 rebounds, picked up 1 steal and rejected 1 shot attempt. Ganlandou completed a very Efficient night
by not committing any turnovers for the entire game.

Roselle Catholic – Junior Fatir Hines 6’8” – {ER-11}
Hines shot 100% from the field,
grabbed 2 rebounds, dropped off an assist, dropped a game high tying 2 assists
and rejected a team high 2 shot attempts.
Hines completed a very Efficient night by not committing any turnovers
for the entire game.
Other note worthy performances
Roselle Catholic – Sophomore
Asante Gist 5’11” - {ER-10}
Gist shot 50% from below the arc
and 80% from the free throw line to score 13-points. Gist also dropped 1 assist and picked up 1 steal. Asante completed an Efficient night by only
committing one turnover for the entire game.
Plainfield – Sophomore Jaleel
Simmons 6’4” – {ER-10}
Simmons shot 40% from the field,
grabbed 3 rebounds, picked up a steal and rejected 2 shot attempts. Jaleel completed a very Efficient night by
not committing a turnover for the entire game.

points scored, shooting accuracy, foul shooting accuracy, rebounds, assists,
steals, defensive intensity, and assist – turnover ratio.
