A Fanatic Summation of the Plainfield vs Hillside Game

Plainfield scored 29 field goals below the arc compared to Hillsides 11 field goals. This gave the Cardinals a 36 point advantage in 2 point field goals made. Hillside scored 4 3-pointers compared to the Cardinals 1. This gave Hillside a 9 point advantage in shooting behind the arc. The Cardinals made 10 free throws compared to Hillside’s 9 which gave the Cardinals a 1 point advantage.

Where did the Cardinals win this game? The Cardinals fluidity of the ball and the total dominance in the paint (distinct height advantage for the Cardinals) gave the Cardinals the advantage they needed for the victory. The Cardinals dropped a combined 20 assists and grabbed a Wilt Chamberlain like 53 rebounds. Senior guard Delano Mullings assumed the roll of the floor general as he dropped a game and personal high 6 assists. The Cardinals had a +35 rebound advantage over Hillside. The Cardinals also combined for 14 rejections which forced Hillside to stick to the perimeter game on the offensive end.

Cardinal Fanatic Efficient 5

1) Plainfield – Sophomore Denzel Christian 6’6” {ER-24}
Denzel shot 55% from the field to score 12 points in the game. But Denzel does not just have a famous actor’s name, as it was no act what Denzel did in the interior paint. Christian grabbed 7 rebounds to go along with his game high 7 rejections to fortify the paint for the Cardinals.

2) Plainfield – Junior Dii’Jon Allen-Jordan 6’6” {ER-22}
Dii’Jon scored 15 points on 55% shooting from the floor and 100% shooting from the foul line. Dii’Jon is now starting to expand his game as he dropped 5 assist while still grabbing 6 rebounds. Dii’Jon had a 5-1 assist to turnover ratio for the game.

3) Plainfield – Junior Justin Sears 6’8” {ER-19}
Justin scored a game high 16 points on 67% shooting from the floor and 100% shooting from the foul line. Justin grabbed 4 rebounds and rejected 1 shot.

4) Plainfield – Junior Sekou Harris 6’0” {ER-16}
Sekou shot 67% below the arc to score 7 points but the point/shooting guard contributed several key statistical categories to help the Cardinals to victory. The 6’0” guard grabbed 5 rebounds and dropped 4 assists. His high flying block of a shot on a fast break by the Comets shocked the crowd as Harris pinned the shot on the glass.

5) Plainfield – Junior Chad Lewis 6’4” {ER-12}
While Justin, Dii’Jon, Denzel, and Sekou provided the offense, Chad gave Justin a day off from doing the Windex cleaning. Chad grabbed a personal season high and game high 11 rebounds. Chad also did the dirty work that does not show up in the stat line as his defensive intensity limited the Comets offensive output.

The efficiency rating is base on points scored, shooting accuracy, foul shooting accuracy, rebounds, assists, steals, defensive intensity, and assist – turnover ratio.
